A Pure Desire or a
Karmic one?
As you walk this path of spiritual evolution, you become alert to
the nature of the desires that rise up in you.
A pure desire gets fulfilled automatically with no
stress, has no energy of defeat attached to it, and no questions
about its fulfillment. It gets fulfilled all by itself with very
little stress-free action required from you. It’s like having
a desire for a burger and buying that burger, or two people meeting
and falling in love easily, or someone making an offer to sell and
getting a qualified buyer quickly. Your body goes through the actions
automatically, almost as if there were no thought required in the
process of fulfillment.
A desire which has tones of impossibility, sadness and difficulty
attached to it, is karmic in nature, and gives rise
to further issues that bind. It is this type of desire that most
people seek freedom from and walk the spiritual path seeking peace
of mind. Once exposed to a karmic desire, the instinctive feelings
that a person goes through is a greater desire for freedom. After
all freedom of mind is what is most important to us all!
For example, a woman may want a particular man to fall in love with
her. Her desire starts seeking fulfillment and she may take action
towards its fulfillment. Some way through this experience however,
she finds that this quest for love is taking more effort than is
required, and that her self-worth is being called into question.
Now even though she would love to have the man fall in love with
her, she finds that she has a greater desire to be free of the situation,
and starts working at falling out of love herself.
Such situations come up everywhere in life. People want something,
find they are having a difficult time getting it, and then start
praying for freedom of mind arising from feeling a lack of control
over the situation, and defeat.
So how does one handle such situations? Should you kill your
desire and lose all hope? Or should you continue to try?
The best way to handle such situations is to play a balancing game.
On one hand you must start working on letting go in order to free
your mind, and regain your self-worth. And on the other hand, you
can work on visualizing that your dream is coming true.
The logic is that ultimately all situations that we encounter either
confirm our self-worth, or question it. When you come across a situation
that questions your self-worth, you must work on letting go and
feeling as if you can be happy without the thing desired, and therefore
lose all fear towards it. But you can also simultaneously work on
manifesting it.
Yes, this is a mind game that needs to be played, but hey, this
is all about mastering the mind, because it is with your mind that
you can create your universe and get the Law of Attraction
working beautifully for you.
There are many manifestation tricks and techniques that must be
learnt for you to walk this path easily, and become that person
who just knows and it happens!
