When Goal
Setting, What Impact Does Applying a Specific Date/Amount Have With
Regards to Law of Attraction?
Given that so many of us are goal setters, this article
is in response to the volume of questions I get about this topic
- Goal Setting and Law of Attraction.
Traditional goal setting asks that you
include in your goal, specific dates, times, and amounts. For example,
a salesperson may say their goal is to have $5,000 in sales by December
31, 2006. Remembering the Law of Attraction is always responding
to your vibrations, what vibration would you send if this were your
goal? Keep in mind that the Law of
Attraction responds to what you say and what you think.
How do the following two lists help or hinder obtaining your goal
results? What vibes may some people be sending when using a traditional
goal statement “To earn $5,000 in sales by December 31, 2006”?
Here's what I like about goal setting:
a) Setting the goal sets the energy in motion.
b) Setting goals helps you get clearer about what you want.
c) Setting and having goals causes you to give deliberate attention
to your desire.
Here's when it may hinder your results:
a) Focusing on where you're 'not' instead
of where you're 'at'.
b) Anxiety as you are observe that you're "not there yet".
c) Keeping score by saying "I only have 4 days left".
d) Can you see and understand how this list may help or hinder your
results?
Here’s my suggestion for incorporating Law
of Attraction into goal setting:
Say “I’m in the process of continuously attracting and
allowing all that I need to do, know, or have, to earn an abundance
in sales.”
The word abundance means different
things to different people. For some people, 10 might be an abundant
amount while for others the number 80 may be abundant.
Abundance is a feeling, so by saying that you have an “abundance
of...” you know that means that there are plenty, or there
are more than you're used to. It means ‘lots’ to you
without having to put a specific number on your goal.
As you observe that you are attracting ANYTHING that's in alignment
to your goal, than celebrate it! And, in the celebration you'll
be sending out a positive vibration that Law of Attraction will
respond to.
In short, while observing the positive things that are happening,
you'll create more of the same ... it's all about vibes.
