    Using the Law of Attraction to Achieve Balance in Your Life

    Are you feeling as if working hard is just not enough anymore? Are you overwhelmed by daily responsibilities? Does your life lack joy? Have you lost sight of who you are and what you’re doing?

    If so, it may be because you’ve been trying to achieve balance the wrong way. When most people decide they want better balance in their lives, they do so by focusing on ways to overcome the factors causing imbalance. The problem with this is that they are focusing on what they don’t want. The result is that they inadvertently attract more of what isn’t wanted.

    The Law of Attraction states that whatever a person is focused upon attracts more things, people and situations that have the same or similar vibration. It is the mind that leads us to a state of balance. So, balance comes when we focus our mind on the balance we want and take action consistently in that direction.

    How does it feel to have a balanced life?

    When life is balanced, it just feels right. You know it because you enjoy life and feel fully present and happily engaged. You find meaning in what you do and who you are.

    You know you have achieved balance when:

    + You wake up in the morning eager to begin your day and fall asleep at night with a smile on your face.

    + You have a vision of what your life will be like this year and spend your time where it counts to make it happen.

    + You have time set aside each day to relax and have fun.

    So, how do you achieve this kind of balance?

    Not by believing that if you only had more money, more time, and more energy, you’d finally have a balanced life. No. Having more won’t help you to achieve balance.

    Instead, you have to have less. The kind of less that simplifies your life, focuses your energies, and makes room for you to have plenty of time to pursue what interests you.

    Finding balance in today’s frenetically paced world is no simple task. Yet it can be done. One way I have done this in my life is to complete a Life Preview each year. Every January, I set aside time to sit down with paper, a pencil, and a chai tea latté to warm my hands. I sit on my favorite spot on the couch where I can watch the snow falling and the cardinals playing. Then I plan my Life Preview.

    I begin by writing across the top of my paper:

    What My Life Will Be Like in 2010

    Then I draw lines creating three columns on the page: Purpose, Outcomes, and Theme. In each column I write a corresponding attraction statement, as follows:

    + Column One – Purpose In 2010 I will __________. I will focus on __________. (This statement summarizes the major activities and goals I’m energetically aligning myself with this year.)

    + Column Two – Outcomes At the end of 2010, I will ____________. (This statement defines the key measureable outcomes I will achieve based on the goals I set above.)

    + Column Three – Theme This time next year, _____________. (Here I declare to the Universe the most important outcome for me to achieve, by saying out loud, “2010 is the year of ____________.”)

    I take some time thinking about my purpose, the outcomes I desire, and my theme for the coming year. Then I fill in the blanks in each statement.

    Next, under the “Purpose” column, I categorize my goals. Some categories might include relationships, finances, health, etc. Under “Outcomes,” I list what next steps I need to take to achieve each of my goals. Under “Theme” I list the deadlines for each of the actions I set for myself.

    Finally, I take my calendar out and set dates in the spring, summer, fall, and winter when I will return to my favorite spot on the couch to review my Life Preview. This helps me see how I’m doing, make certain I’m on track, and make adjustments as needed. In this way, I ensure that I’m intentionally using the Law of Attraction to attract exactly what I want into my life this year.

    For most people, juggling the demands of work, family, friends, leisure, recreation, and alone time is an ongoing challenge. Yet when you take the time to complete a Life Preview for the year ahead, you utilize the powerful Law of Attraction to achieve balance in your life. As you set the intention for what you want, the Law of Attraction partners with you to bring your life into balance.

    The Law Of Attraction – 9 Ways See Results Faster

    You probably already know that the law of attraction holds a lot of power. Your intentions and core beliefs play a vital role in determining the outcomes of your life. If you want to achieve success now, you can!

    When you concentrate on the positive, your life will be positive. It sounds simple enough, but many times people let negative emotions get the better of them. You have the power within you to break those negative habits. Once the negativity is gone, you can speed up the whole process of dream achievement.

    Try using the following ways to speed up your law of attraction results:

    1. Feel strong emotions in your visualizations. When you visualize the results you want, put your whole heart into the process. If you go after something half-heartedly, whether physically or through visualizations, your results are half-hearted also.

    • Feel the happiness in living the life you dream, the pride in your achievements that got you there, and the pure joy of success.

    2. Focus on the present. See yourself successful in the present rather than the future. If you keep thinking about the good things that are coming tomorrow, they’ll never be here today! Take full advantage of today to do what you can to achieve your dreams. Even small steps add up to big achievements.

    3. Use vision boards effectively. Whenever you see these pictures, let the positive emotions of your meditations sweep over you. Thoroughly enjoy them in the present moment. Take time to feel your emotions without holding anything back.

    4. Exhibit the qualities of your dream life. Determine the qualities of your dream life and exemplify them today. For example, in your dreams, you may be confident and generous toward others. Show confidence and generosity now instead of waiting until after you’re successful, because showing them will, in fact, make them arrive sooner.

    5. Keep your thoughts positive. Thinking positively allows you to bring on a mindset of gratitude and abundance. Recognize when your mind starts to shift to negative thoughts and do whatever it takes to correct the problem.

    • Focus on positive affirmations or self-talk to replace the negative thoughts as soon as they occur.

    6. Avoid dwelling on any negative situation. The power of thought can alter any situation. Focusing on the negative attracts more negative back to you. Alternatively, focusing on the positive is more likely to result in positive outcomes. So whenever a challenge arises, seek a solution and take action to overcome it rather than wallowing in self-pity.

    7. Be as clear as you can. Strive for the utmost clarity when focusing on your dreams, as every detail makes it more real to you. This will allow you to give all of your positive energy to your thoughts as you visualize.

    8. Believe in the process. You’re belief in the process of the law of attraction is vital to your success. You might strive for complete positivity, but if you have doubts about the outcome deep down, then you’ll still allow negative thoughts to influence you. You have to believe in the process because anything that’s possible can happen for you with the right mindset.

    9. Be open to receive. Are you ready to receive the results you desire? For example, if you wish for a new love, do you have room for them in your life? If you remain open to the universe, it will send back what you desire most in the world.

    The law of attraction entails a lot more than just sitting around thinking about what you want. The key element is inspired action. When you believe you can achieve, you’ll naturally take action to get what you want. And this is where it all comes together. When your mind and your actions are in harmony, nothing can stop you!



    Allowing: Ask and You Will Receive

    “Ask and ye shall receive.” It’s a true enough statement, that’s for sure. But in terms of helping you to actualize the kind of life you desire, it may be a bit misleading, or at the very least incomplete. For it implies that manifesting your desires is a two-part process when, in practical terms, it may be better understood as process in three steps:

    • You ask – usually without even asking as the very acting of wanting something is received by the all-powerful creative source as a request or, maybe more aptly put, an order;
    • Your “wish” is granted – you need to do nothing for this happen as it’s an automatic and instantaneous result of step 1;
    • You either allow it or deny it – like a gift, you either accept it or refuse it.

    The reason, then, for the appearance of so many of our desires NOT being granted is our own resistance to having what we asked for.

    If you have ever desired something and then sometime later started noticing the failure of that desire to be fulfilled, you are actually pushing the fulfillment of that desire out of your present reality. Observing, for example, that a lack of resources for the attainment of your desire creates that lack – not the other way around. Not only do you perpetuate the absence or lack by observing it, but you cause it.

    For that which you desire is already yours, the instant you want it. But your participation in receiving it does not stop there. To the contrary, by fixating on a desire already transmitted, a want already wanted, you draw yourself continually back to the awareness of your current state of NOT HAVING it.

    You do yourself the same disservice by being unhappy about where you currently are and hinging your happiness on the arrival of your desire, by being impatient with the “wait” for it to come, by being jealous of someone else who already has what you want.

    Instead what you must do is trust that your request/wish/order has been received and approved and now your only job is to prepare yourself to receive it. How is this done, exactly? By getting your whole being in agreement, into vibrational alignment, with the attainment of that desire.

    Imagine you’ve ordered a very expensive item from an importer. Once the order is complete, all you have to do is wait for it to arrive, right? But what if you’ve given the store the wrong shipping address? Or what if you’ve given the right one, but aren’t home when the delivery is scheduled to arrive, and you haven’t made any allowances for the receipt of that package; you haven’t asked a friend to wait at your home to accept the package for you; you haven’t given the delivery person alternate delivery instructions or a way to contact you. Maybe you moved, and in all the commotion forgot the order was even coming. Or maybe you flat-out decided you changed your mind and didn’t want it anymore, refusing the package upon delivery.

    None of these instances change the fact that what you asked for was given; they only change your ability to receive that which you asked for. It’s the same with the total manifestation of your every desire. To fulfill this all-too-often forgotten final step in the attainment of all that you desire, simply allow yourself to bask in eager anticipation of what it feels like to know that they’ve already been granted.

    Ask and it shall be given; experience the pleasure of having that which you’ve asked for, and ye shall receive.


    Law of Attraction Relationships Are Easier to Create Than You’d Think

    Today, I wave my magic wand and give you a free pass to letting go of anxiety, impatience, frustration, and aggravation.

    Just let go. When you let go, you’re letting go of resistance. When you let go of resistance, you’re in the allowing mode. The allowing mode is simply moving the resistance out of the way so that you can be an open channel for your desire to flow to you.

    If you say you want a husband who is tall, adores you, is financially independent, and has good relations with his parents and ex-wife (if there is one), and that lights you up – but your very next thought is, “Oh sure, look at my debt. What man wants to take me on with that. I’d better take care of that first.” Now you’re headed in the opposite direction from your original desire. You’re back in resistance.

    Much of the time resistance is hard to detect it just so how we’re used to being. I asked one client why she wanted to make more money. And she answered “I want to make more money because it feels good to be able to buy the things I want and I hate asking my husband for money.”

    Did you notice? In the very same sentence, she cancelled out what she wanted by attracting more of what she didn’t want. “I want this because I don’t want that.” Not an effective way to attract, folks. Get clear about what you want. Focus on what you DO want not on what you DON’T want. Then just get happy. Practice being happy for no good reason. Marci Shimoff wrote a great book “Happy For No Reason.” You’ll find many great practices to get you in the ‘happy for no reason’ frame of mind.

    Resistance is what’s stopping your desires from manifesting.

    There really is no secret when it comes to learning how to apply the law of attraction (LOA) in your life. You can begin making changes in ANY area of your life as soon as you want. There is nothing holding you back! You don’t have to wait until you are an expert. Start transforming your life by following the three steps outlined below and you will have the power to manifest anything you desire.

    It is important to be sure that you have a good grasp of each step of this LOA process before moving onto the next.     Step 2 – Be Responsible For Yourself – This means owning your results in life. Not making excuses or looking for places to lay the blame. Being responsible for yourself is all about taking responsibility for the results of your thoughts and actions.

    Nothing will throw you off course faster than not getting this step 100% right. It is true that there are lots of things out there that are out of your control. But only you are responsible for your thoughts and actions. When you start playing the blame game, you stop moving toward your dream.

    The bottom line is that you have to honest with yourself. Sure, it can be uncomfortable, but all you have to do is to decide to be truthful with the one person that has the power to make your dreams come true – yourself!

    Step 3 – Claim Your Desire – This is where you turn your dream into your reality. The final piece of the manifesting process is where you take action, where you get out in the world and move toward your dream.

    The quickest way to see positive changes in your life is to start taking steps toward that change. It sounds obvious, but unless you are really taking action you cannot really expect super results. Waiting for opportunity to knock on your door is a waste of time and energy, time and energy that you could be using more productively.

    Learning and living these three important steps of the law of attraction is the only sure-fire way to change your life. Lasting change comes from mastering the steps and living them on a daily basis. If you do this, you will find that the changes you desire will come quickly and easily. In no time at all, you will have transformed your life the way you want it.
